A R Rahman and Gowtham Menon join hands

Music has been an integral part of all of Gowtham Vasudev Menon's films, and Harris Jayaraj has done some amazing work in all the films. But before the release of Gowtham's last film Vaaranam Aayiram, Harris Jayaraj dropped a bombshell that they had decided to split. It was sad news for all those who loved the scintillating music the combination had produced.

After Harris Jayaraj left, Gowtham got none other than A R Rahman to compose music for his next two films -- Chennayil Oru Mazhakalam (A rainy season in Chennai) and Vinnai Thandi Varavaya (Will you leap the skies and come to me?).

The latter, a love story with Silambarasan and Trisha (who has already signed a Hindi film with Priyadarshan opposite Akshay Kumar) in the lead is one of the most awaited, like all of Gowtham's films.

A R Rahman fetch a new international project

Rahman won the Oscars and brought pride not only for India but also for himself in plenty. After fetching the Oscars trophies, the man is going places. A R Rahman will now be joining hands with former Rolling Stones member Mick Jagger for a track.

For this song, the others who have been specially roped in are: rapper-actor Nas and Jamaican musician Bob Marley’s sons Damian and Stephen.

This number will be released on the United Nation’s International Day Of Peace on September, 21st this year.

A close source expressed, “Joss and Mick hit it off when they worked with producer Dave Stewart on the ‘Alfie’ soundtrack, so were keen to collaborate again. When this project was suggested they were keen to get on board, especially considering the glittering cast of other musicians involved.”

Let’s wait to hear the tunes of the marvelous musician whose qualities now the whole world admires.
